PROVETSCAN SU-3
When looking for truly professional equipment for measuring back fat, loin diameter, and loin area, the SU-3 probe is ideal for this purpose. Its 18 cm long and 256 ultrasound crystals make it possible to see a very large scanning area. The large size of the probe allows measurements to be made at various points of the animal, since different anatomical structures can be observed that can serve as a reference to find the ideal measurement point.
It is being used as an ultrasound scanner to measure fat and back in cattle and pigs, even determining the loin marbling of these animals.
